Often overlooked are the shifting sands of the south coast for the more popularised reef breaks. But this day, this day my friends, sand was mightier than rock.

It was an all star cast and the performance was as stella as the waves themselves. Luke Shadbolt hid from the sand storms formed by the 30 knot offshore winds and today is still finding the sand in and around his body cavities.
