Mat west has thrown together some great words and a few extra images to go with his Daily Frame. Stories about your shoots are great, send them in anytime.
So we headed down the coast, expecting some waves. Checked all the charts it seemed like it will be good. I had a chat to my mate who has his P's. I said to him, "I'll give you $50 to take me down the coast to shoot tommorow" He thought that was an excellent idea.
I headed to his house straight after work had nothing all day bar 2 cups of noodles and had no thoughts on what the day might bring. I was so amped I couldn't sleep well and in the morning I was full of energy whilst all my mates where asleep. We arrived at the first spot. It was about two foot and really inconsistent. We then sort of lost our hopes on this predicted swell. We went to the next spot and it was about four foot and sloppy. We headed round the corner, seeing about 8 cars parked in the car park. It may be on. So we walked up to the check spot to see perfect 4-5 foot waves with wide open barrels. We raced down to the car to get our gear and ran to the point, finally making it. It felt good. I got my camera out and shot a bit from the land. I got out the housing set it up and as I walked over to jump in Ian Osterloh kindly drove his ski over to pick me up and take me out.
I started shooting amongst Jeremy Creswell, Ian Osterloh, Jordan Goodley and Russell Quinn. It was such a relaxed situation even though large pits were breaking so close. We all had a laugh at some crazy beat downs and it was an all round good time with some mates. I got a few shots but because of the light it was very tricky having the right settings selected.
