Some people tend to write off the Sunshine Coast for quality waves, but local photographer Charles Beak delivers some images shot over a period late last year of a local reef which is 100% proof there is waves in the area.

Wave drunk Western Australian and South Australian riders would never think about doing a surf trip there, and I am guessing the locals like it that way too.

Not only does it have waves but the area is producing some serious talent at the moment. Sometimes the tougher it is to get waves the harder you surf when your local break is on.
