It's a rookie move these days traveling on a date not on a swell. With forecasts extending out to 10 days you can plan your missions with pin point perfection swells and winds.

Some people still love the unknown and revel in the journey more than the quality of waves. Board a plane, split the hire hire bill with some mates and your halfway there.

Steve Wall did just this and soaked up some desert rays to let him forget about the previous weeks spent studying and completing his HSC. Sure the waves weren't as epic as most missions to the coastline but looking at the images you can see the gift of good times came in all shapes and sizes.
