When the swell is up in Tasmania, most eyes steer towards the bluff. Shipstern's Bluff to be precise.
When local photographer Nicholas Green checked out the charts his day ran like this.

"Got up at 4am this morning to make the long trip to stern, only to get there and have onshore winds and rain blowing in our faces and quite terrible waves coming through.

The only reason we stayed down on the rocks was to give our legs a break before we ventured back to the car to suss out other options, but i'm glad we did.  After about an hour of mucking around arguing the best place to go we saw a glimpse of hope on the horizon,  a three wave set came through and immediately got us all excited. We waited to see another set before the guys suited up, but sure enough the sets came.  It wasn't the best stern session by any means,  but good practise for when its bigger and better." Tells Nic.

The other session is what else can be found when the swells up. These wedges and beachbreaks litter the coastline.
