The final for the dropknee event was held at Pipe today and saw Dave Hubbard take it out.

Bud Myamoto came in second and followed by Australian Kim Feast then Ricky Alverez, Sasha Specker and Jaccob Pembrook.

Dave's win today was pretty a sweet comeback after some serious injury time with a busted ankle only a few weeks back. No he gets to kick back hope to watch his big brother Jeff hopefully win at Pipe to make it a family double header.

Jeff gave me this awesome rundown of the days events, "The waves were perfect for dk at pipe it was probably the best dk performances I have witnessed as a whole group of riders everyone was ripping hard. Waves were a glassy 3-5 foot pipe and backdoor.
Dub and bud were the obvious favorites and placed 1 and 2  but Kim Feast from OZ was on fire all day and had one of the best waves of the final at backdoor but could not find a back up wave.  Jacob Pembrook underground Kauai ripper won his semi with 2 sic backside pits at backdoor but could not keep his momentum into the final. Sasha Specker was killing it on the knee in the final with powerful snaps slides and pits and Ricky Alveraz from the Big Island was ripping it up all day but did not find a second score in the final.
Dub just owned the final Bud took a quick lead but Dave came back with wave after wave and just showed his domination nabbing double pits on both his best waves and laying down some on rail turns to finish off his waves he even showed his versatility with his back side attack at perfect backdoor today."

Thanks Jeff and well done Dave. Happy times at the Hubbards Households.

At this stage we are unable to get a hold of any action images but as soon as we can they will on the site.
