By the looks at these images it's hard to believe that people's waves go unnoticed when the waves are on.
But speaking from experience it's always the best wave in the session that, either your camera decides to drop focus or you just are completely out of position.
Luke Shadbolt was hard on the job here battling it out with photographers, videographers and the shallow reef to provide some intense images.
Hopefully this is a sign of a good winter when this kind of action goes down in the summer!
