The big news is My wife and I had our second Child not so long ago so now with dual girls you can expect me to be an expert on tea parties and dolls within the next few years. Autumn was born on the 1st day of yeah you guessed it Autumn.
My wetsuit sponsor Reeflex flew me over for a epic session shooting in the new suits recently. Waves were perfect and suits were by far some the best to come out of the guys yet. Some new cuts and materials which felt perfect when riding. They even made an orange one for me!
I unfortunetly had the watch the pipe contest from home, but as if i was going to miss little Autumn come out! Looked like the boys scored over there and was epic to see the new guys do so well at Pipe.
I had a good fix of waves in Samoa a couple of weeks before with Jose, Joe,Ash and Cade which is going to feature in Riptide. So it wasnt too bad watching from home I guess.
Summer has been fun but just your standard summer for australia, small hot fun waves but noting to really rave about. Its been really good spending time with the girls and my wife though, one of the few times I have been at home in Australia for summer in a long time.
We are moving down to the South Coast in the next month or so, just want to be close to the good waves, sydney just isn't doing it for me anymore for me. Plus the fishing is going to be nuts!
Looking forward to the Australian tour comp coming up at the start of April on the Gold Coast and then the World Tour event at Soldiers Beach. After winning the Australian Tour in 2008 I really want to try compete and succeed on the local tour again.
In more recent news I picked up a new sponsor Sunzapper, good quality 30 + sunscreen and 30+ zink. im loving not getting sunburnt and having sunscreen on tap if you see me at the beach and your out of protection just ask me, I am your man.
Big Thanks to Reeflex for the surfing images which were all shot by Will Schouten.
