Queensland based photographer Alex Ormerod is loving life at the moment. He simply has to drive down to his local beaches and the waves have been pumping. This time of year this coast is in it's prime chilled morning offshores and hard packed sand in all the right places means it's go time for the local boys now all the PRO circus has left town.

With the wild weather looking like it could rip this precious sand out by the weekend we thought we would hit Alex up for a quick fix of the last few days.
