TBC was on, in every sense of the verb, on the 2nd of May. It's been way too long, maybe even longer, since Mackenzies has done its thing.

The sand has been building up for a while but besides a few sneaky little sessions of nothing special it hasn't really been of note. Doc made the call that we'd be starting an hour earlier than usual to make the most of the swell.

The day started off foggy and pumping and made way for some hot sun and more racy barrels, albeit a little less consistent.

Everyone sat on the rocks swapping banter and bumming Tiny Teddies off Sam Taucher, as per usual. An early low tide meant the AA division was held first to make the most of the waves. Every round with a few good sets had people ripping, and Rory falling top to bottom inside a keg on the knee was a bit of a highlight too.

Yours truly had to leave for work after the first round of the AAs and the DK division to get to work but from all reports the waves were some of the best we've had at TBC for a while and it was neck and neck to the bitter end.
