Wednesdays swell will not linger into Friday. It'll still be present early Thursday, but will diminish quickly during the day, and it'll be nearly all gone by Friday.

Set waves (from the east swell) will be extremely inconsistent, due to the large travel distance. Inconsistent swells are difficult for competitions.

The east swell was generated a long way away - satellites confirmed wind speeds of only 35kts, which is not strong enough to generate anything substantial in Sydney. I'm expecting a peak on Wed afternoon around 3ft or so.

The south swell through Thurs/Fri is shifting around a little (may now peak Fri instead of Sat) but in any case the swell size/direction/period isn't favourable for great waves at the Island.

Hang tight people we will get some juice soon, I can feel it in my bones.
