Sportscamera have put in a lot of work to develop a quality and durable extended mount for bodyboarders into GoPro and other POV cams.
Finally there is a readily available version online. Note that it has a moveable ball mount to fine-tune the cam angle. The base is made from laser-cut 916 grade Stainless Steel (a more corrosion resistant Stainless Steel most suited to sea water exposure. The footplate can be placed wherever suits you on your board, but of course it is your responsibility to check where any stringers are if you have them in your sled.
