frozenhole.com.au was born in 1998 by local bodyboarder Paul Hutchins to share photos, stories and connect Tasmania's bodyboarding crew. The Frozen Hole did it's job for many years. Known for it's infamous forums where some of the great internet hero battles took place the site is finally up and running again after numerous hackings.

There are no forums for burning each other this time but it is reborn as an archive for the photos and video that I have collected over the last 21 years chasing waves around the State. Pretty much anything I can find on the net that is Tassie related will be published on the site.

The Frozen Hole can also lay claim to publishing the first ever photo of Shipstern Bluff on the net. The shot was amongst a few borrowed from a local surf shop to scan for the site back in the 90's and this Shippies beast was amongst the collection. We had no idea what was to become of this wave.
