There is nothing particularly exciting about the ocean this morning. The whif of south swell that has been keeping surfers on life support over the last few days has been replaced by poor quality, short interval NE windswell. If it was a horse race it would be called the desparation stakes. But alas it is breaking and the odd one rideable if you want to play. The NW wind is doing nothing for the surface quality on the south end so hit open, south facing beaches for smoother runs. No excuses for grommmets at least.
Weekend Outlook
Tiny to flat most of Sat with only small background tradewind swell. Might be a late increase on the Gold Coast S facing beaches. Should be some small fun waves at S facing beaches Sun with light offshores. Keep expectations low and bring a small-wave surfboard.
Best Days
Wed/Thurs next week.
